Parental Controls

Take control over what your children watch in your home. The Parental Controls and System Locks features on your receivers allow YOU to control the programming that is able to be viewed. This feature is available at no additional cost and is easy to use with two options: Lock by Rating or Lock by Channel.


To use Parental Controls, press the Menu button on your remote then select LOCKS. From here you can choose the Locks you wish to use. Once completed, you will be asked to set a password giving you the control and peace of mind a parent needs.

  • Lock by Rating

    'Lock by Rating' allows you to take advantage of the ratings created by the television industry and the Motion Picture Association of America based on expanded ratings such as violence, language, nudity, and sexual content.

  • Lock by Channel

    'Lock by Channel' will password protect the channels of your choice. You can lock all channels including movie channels, Pay-per-View channels, or even local channels.
